Hello! So I made some zines in 2021 and then left them stashed under my bed until now lol ? They were created after the BLM protests and during a period when I was thinking a lot about the concepts of Afro-futurism, techno, and the possibilities of blackness. They feature a combination of research, philosophy, found images, and original artwork, layered to evoke the experience of delving into historical fragments (heavily influenced by 'the data thief' from John Akomfrah's film, "The Last Angel of History")
They are 3-colour risographs, lovingly printed on very nice paper at @therizzeria & although they're short they are dense, and each page is like a lil artwork in which there is much to ogle at and discover.

As always, thanks for the love & support

Hello!
So I made some zines in 2021 and then left them stashed under my bed until now lol ? This zine came about during the COVID lockdowns after a deep dive into some of the rave ephemera that is tucked away on various corners of the internet (particularly internet archive). It was an opportunity to reflect on rave culture and also learn how to riso print and use photoshop, while the world seemed to be falling apart all around us. Things seem to have only gotten crazier since then, and show no signs of slowing down. Looking back at these feels like a bit of a time capsule, which I guess in many ways is what rave culture these days is all about. I hope you can take a moment to indulge some nostalgia, and enjoy the naivety and absolute joy of these images, and that it can recharge you in some way to keep pushing for a better world.
Profits from this zine will be donated to Aboriginal Legal Service.

As always, thanks for the love & support
Emmanuel.
